The purpose of this site is multifunctional, my hope is that you will be entertained, in some way informed, and my greatest hope of all, is that something you read or see here in someway touches your heart! Many people go through life without experiencing true love or friendship. I have indeed been very fortunate in that respect. Joan, my wife of twenty years, has always been there no matter what adversity loomed ahead! It is in that spirit that I dedicate this site to my love for her!
I have been fortunate enough to have had one very close male friend as well. Captain Thoville Smith, born October 15, 1898, died March 18, 1993. He was the youngest ship captain in merchant marine history! He served as the source of great inspiration in my life from 1969 until his death in 1993. It is in his memory that I also dedicate this site and the work that I have put into making it a reality!
