This story is about a "Boy" who was born and raised on the Louisiana Gulf Coast. It is intended to follow the seasons on one's life, just as one would follow the seasons of a calendar year.

This "Boy" was fortunate enough to have attended only one school from which he graduated in 1962. He then attended two universities, his two year Pre-Pharmacy studies were conducted at the University of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette. His last three years consisted of study at Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe. The former university is now known as The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the school of pharmacy is now known as the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

This young man was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work his way through school. He worked summers and one Christmas for Kerr McGee Oil Industries. His working experiences are an integral part of his life, and many stories relating to those experiences have been, hopefully, accurately told here as well as his school experiences. These stories depict the spring of his life.

His adult life, or the summer, and fall of his life are told as he matures, becomes a pharmacist, and works through the years where the responsibilities are the greatest. His fondest memories are fishing with his old friend "Captain Thoville Smith". He owns and operates a pharmacy in Centerville, LA. for twenty three years. In 1993, after suffering the devastation left behind by "Hurricane Andrew", he closes his pharmacy and moves his family to North Central Arkansas. It is here that he becomes involved in the sport of racing "Homing Pigeons", thus the name "lalofts".

Hopefully, the winter of his life is yet to come, however (as with us all) "Uncertainty" is the name of that game!

I hope you enjoy the site and can relate some facets to your very own life!
